MEGA BLOKS learning builds: ABC trains, counting bus and matching tractor
On this shelf the blocks carry something extra printed on them: the alphabet on the two trains, the numbers one to ten on the school bus, eight farm animals split across stackable blocks on the tractor.
The bus and the tractor sit on our 1½+ shelf; the two trains are listed from age one and stay in play long after. The musical train adds songs and sounds; the learning train keeps things quiet.

Three things parents ask about this shelf
Musical train or quiet train?
Same idea, different volume. The musical train has 50 pieces and a smokestack with music and sounds; the learning train has 60 pieces and the full A to Z without any sound.
When does counting start to click?
There is no set age, and the bus does not insist. Toddlers load numbered blocks onto it long before they count aloud, and the matching pictures keep it useful in the meantime.
Can the animal heads really swap?
That is the whole joke. Each animal is printed across stacked blocks, so a cow's head can go onto a pig's body and back again.
